I write a GitHub issue and label it ready. One agent implements it and opens a PR, a second agent reviews the diff blind, and CI runs. It cannot merge, push to a default branch or edit policy files, so I only answer escalations and merge. Running unattended since August 2026. Tech: TypeScript, Cloudflare Workers, Neon Postgres, Anthropic Managed Agents ### dottai (2026) An AI pull-request reviewer you request like a person. Add the GitHub user dottai as a reviewer and it posts a single review with inline comments and a verdict. The verdict is computed in code from comment severities, so the model can't talk itself into an approval, and the PR diff is treated as untrusted input. Built on Mastra with a choice of LLM providers, and reviewing every repo on my personal GitHub account. Tech: TypeScript, Mastra, LLM providers, GitHub API ### Menu Mind (2026) A meal-planning PWA for households. An LLM drafts the menu for a week or fortnight, a planner chat adjusts it, and the plan becomes a shared shopping list that works offline. Multi-tenant with per-household data isolation. Every model call is metered per household and runs outside database transactions, so cost stays bounded. Replaced my Notion and Todoist setup and runs in production. Tech: React, TanStack Router, Hono, Neon Postgres, LLM, Vercel ### MapVault (2026) iOS and Android app for saving and rediscovering place recommendations in a city. Save spots to shared maps, invite friends and mark what you've visited. Free tier with a premium subscription. Live on the App Store and Google Play. Tech: React Native, Expo, Supabase, Mapbox, Google Places API, RevenueCat Link: https://www.mapvault.app/ ### Eat Thirty Plants (2025) Mobile app helping users track weekly plant intake for gut health. 700+ users · 5/5 App Store rating · Available on iOS & Android. Used internally by a US company as part of their staff wellness program. He started studying structural engineering at University College Dublin, but discovered it wasn't his calling. After university, he moved to Spain to work at a summer camp, starting as a TEFL teacher at TECS. He rose through the ranks to become Education Director, managing teams of up to 150 people and overseeing programs across Spain and the UK. Throughout his career, Patrick maintained a passion for technology. He turned this into a freelance web development practice, building websites for coaches while working full-time. Eventually, website development wasn't enough, and Patrick pursued becoming a "real" software engineer. He completed courses, a bootcamp, and built numerous full-stack applications before making the career switch. He joined Nova as a software engineer, then moved to Mews, where he led the Financial Services team and is now Staff Engineer for fintech, building the AI-native product development process for a tribe of 15 Product Builders. --- ## Working Style ### How Colleagues Describe Patrick - Reliable - Problem solver - Good communicator - Very organised and structured - Calm - Decisive ### Values in a Work Environment - Autonomy - Learning opportunities - Great communication ### Leadership Philosophy Patrick believes a great manager creates a framework where individuals feel comfortable, encouraged, supported, and motivated. A great manager must identify what each person needs to flourish—some need space, while others need closer guidance. Managers should prioritize their people-tasks and protect engineers from distractions so they can focus on building excellent software. --- ## Personal Information ### Location - City: Madrid, Spain - Work preference: Remote - Open to relocation: Depends on the opportunity ### Languages - English: Native - Spanish: Fluent ### Fun Facts - Half Irish / half Spanish (born in Spain, lived in Ireland from age 4-22) - Has a dog, and a cat called Simba --- ## Contact - Portfolio: https://www.patrickalvarez.com - All projects: https://www.patrickalvarez.com/archive - GitHub: https://github.com/Patchalv - LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/patrickalvarezeades - Email: p.alvarezeades@gmail.com ### Job Opportunities - Open to opportunities: Not actively looking but always open - Roles of interest: Engineering leadership, or senior engineering roles that tackle hard problems with an AI-first approach - Response to recruiters: Happy to chat --- *Last updated: 2026-10-22*
